The Fall in the Field program provides hands-on environmental education at the Deer Creek Center and the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. We offer day and residential programs and we welcome students of any age.
All aspects of the Fall in the Field program are managed by Southern Oregon University’s Environmental Education graduates. These students develop, operate, and manage the Fall in the Field program, gaining valuable teaching experience at Deer Creek Center (DCC) and Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument (CSNM). Graduate students create place-based curriculum for the sites, organize and market the program, then deliver programs to a variety of audiences. Students work closely with the staff at DCC and CSNM and under the supervision of SOU faculty. Given the nature of the program, Fall in the Field offers different content each year.
