Although every day is Earth Day to an environmental educator, it’s that time of year again for everyone to celebrate our Earth on its special day — the 43rd annual Earth Day, April 22! Many festivities will be going on in the Rogue Valley to demonstrate planet pride. Here are some of the events you don’t want to miss.
Take the Next Step with Rogue Valley Earth Day this Saturday, April 20, 11:00 – 4:00, at the grounds of ScienceWorks in Ashland. Free admission to the outdoor event and inside the museum.
Southern Oregon University will also be hosting an Earth Day event on Monday, April 22 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the SU Courtyard. Followed by workshops all week. For more information check out http://www.souecologycenter.org
Another neat event you may stumble across if you find yourself in the Oredson-Todd Woods on Earth Day is the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy’s “Loving the Land” day. For more information, check out their Web site: http://www.landconserve.org/node/430.
