Climate Change and the High Elevation Conifers of the Klamath Mountain Region

on December 8, 2012

Native Plant Society-Siskiyou Chapter presents:

 December 13, Thursday, 6:30 - 9:30pm

Holiday Potluck Program: Past, Present, and Future: Climate Change and the High Elevation Conifers of the Klamath Mountain Region.

Join teacher, researcher, and explorer Michael Kauffmann on an arm-chair journey through time and the Klamath Mountains, focusing on our regional high elevation conifers. These mega-flora of the Klamath Mountain tops have survived shifting climatic conditions through recent geologic ages, but will they survive the next shift? Michael’s first-hand observations and others’ studies from across the West suggest the answer. Location: Talent Community Center, Talent. Contact Kristi: 541.941.3744.
